December Special Notes

We still have Angels left on our Angel Tree.  So if you would like more information or you are interested in receiving an Angel, please call Katharine Andriano at the office at 819-663-4842 ext. 0.

We will be collecting canned food, pickles, pasta, rice, toothpaste, laundry detergent, and any other non-perishable items from now until Wednesday, December 12th, 2018.

Please make sure that you check the expiration dates on the items.  Please give generously so we will have enough items to help out some families in our school.

Our Playground Activity Leaders in Schools (PALS) program is up and running!

In November, Grade 5 and 6 student volunteers received training to plan and lead a variety of fun and safe activities to engage students of all ages at recess. They also learned about opportunities to build inclusion as well as conflict resolution to support our students.

The PALS program aims to provide leadership roles in our school and to encourage physical activity and reduced conflicts during outdoor play time.

We would like to stress the importance of the PD day registration deadline.  There are many parents who call after the date to try and make changes to the registration. We form our groups in advance so that the children have the best experience possible. Once the registration is finalized that process begins and making changes after the deadline is not always as simple as adding someone to a group.

There are often as many as 20 children who do not attend daycare on a regular basis who sign up for the PD days. The groups can change drastically from day to day.

We would like to accommodate everyone if they need the service but the deadlines must be respected.
