Grade 6 Anti-Bullying Workshop

Date: October 4, 2017 Author: Jennifer Plaxton Categories: Upcoming Events

On October 17th the grade six students will have a special visitor from the Canadian Center for Gender and Sexual Diversity.

Each class will participate in an anti-bullying workshop geared towards elementary school students. The workshop explores and defines: diverse families, discrimination, sexism, racism, homophobia and transphobia in an age appropriate and interactive manner. Each workshop is tailored to fit the needs of the students and is led by a trained facilitator. This workshop is a good fit with WQSB’s new policy on Anti-Discrimination and gender identity. Grade 6 parents should watch for more information coming home soon.
