In the event of inclement weather, we invite parents and staff members to view the School Board Website: (www.wqsb.qc.ca) for daily updates on school bus transportation and school/center closure.

Normally the School Board will post information between 6:15 a.m. and 6:45 a.m., prior to buses starting their bus routes.  Ending on weather conditions (snowfall, freezing rain) the School Board will assess the road conditions with the assistance of various bus transporters, several municipalities (public works) and French School Boards. Thereafter, a decision is taken to whether or not to cancel, transportation.

Mrs. Link will also send out a “Remind” text/e-mail to alert staff and parents.

School buses may be delayed as a result of road and weather conditions.

Parents are responsible for their children prior to boarding and after departing the school bus.

ABC CANADA Family Literacy Day is a National initiative that promotes the importance of reading and learning together as a family.

Remember to plan a special reading activity to enjoy as a family that day. A Family Literacy Bingo sheet will be sent home with each student on Monday, January 22nd and if you participate your child will have the opportunity to win a $10.00 Chapter’s gift card.

Make sure that the sheet is completed and returned to school by Monday, January 29th.  The four winners will be announced at lunch.

You can request a form from the school,  provide 40$, and we will send the form to the school Board to be sent to the proper agency. Criminal Background Checks are valid for 2 years. Under no circumstances can an individual work or volunteer within any of our schools or centres until it has been confirmed that their criminal record is approved by the Board Office.
