KINDERGARTEN OPEN HOUSE

The Kindergarten Open House for the 2018-2019 students will be on Friday, June 1st, 2018.

The schedule is as follows:

8:45 – 9:00 – ‘Check-in’ in the gym

9:00 – 9:20 – Welcome by Principal

9:20 – 9:40 – Tour of school

9:40 -10:10 – Obstacle Course in the gym

10:10 – 10:40 – Classroom visit

10:40- 11:00 – Outside playtime

FIELD TRIPS

June 8th – Grade 1 students are going to the Museum of Nature

June 8th – Grade 2 students going to Midway Family Fun Park

June 8th – Grade 3 students are going to Saunders Farm

June 8th – Grade 4 students are going to the Canadian Museum of History

June 13th – Grade 5 students going to Upper Canada Village

June 20th – Grade 6 students are going to Mont Cascades

LUNCH PROGRAMS

Please note that our Pizza Program will end on Wednesday, June 6th and our Hot Meal Program will end on Friday, June 8th for this school year. If your child is in Grade 1, 2, 3 or 4 you should cancel your June 8th meal for a credit. For the last two weeks please make sure your child has a lunch every day.

STUDENT VOLUNTEER LUNCHEON

On Monday, June 11th, we will be having a student volunteer luncheon for all the students who helped out with our food programs, lunch time program, end of day checkers and office helpers. Invitations will be sent out shortly to those students involved.

AFTERNOON OF PERFORMING ARTS    

On Tuesday, June 12th at 12:50 p.m. Greater Gatineau School will be having their annual “Afternoon of Performing Arts” in the gym. Parents and students are welcome to come watch our talented students perform various acts from singing, dancing, skits and many more!

GRADE 6 GRADUATION

We will be welcoming our grade 6 parents to the school on Wednesday, June 21st, to take part in this year’s graduation.  The ceremony will be held in the gym promptly at 11:00. We ask parents to be seated by 10:45 a.m.

We suggest simple summer attire for the occasion.  Students will be taking the buses home or they can leave with their parents after the ceremony.  Please advise Margaret in the office if you are taking them home upon your arrival. Advance notice is appreciated.

TRIBES DAY

On Friday, June 22nd, we will be hosting a fun-filled “Tribes Day” during the morning.  Students will be grouped into “Tribes” and will participate in some exciting games/challenges! Parents are welcome to come and join us.
