HADLEY INFORMATION SESSION

On Thursday, March 22nd from 6 to 8 p.m., grade 6 students and their parents are invited to an “Information Evening” at Hadley Junior High School. More details will follow.

PHONE NUMBERS & HEALTH INFORMATION

We ask all parents to please make sure that they keep the office advised of any changes in their phone numbers.

It is extremely important that our files are kept up-to-date should an emergency arise.

COMMUNICATION

During Margaret’s absence you can continue to use the e-mail mburns@wqsb.qc.ca to communicate absences or destination changes for the end of the day. Katherine will be monitoring the account until her return.

NATIONAL NUTRITION MONTH

March is National Nutrition Month and a great time to think about the importance of healthy eating.

Healthy eating means eating a variety of foods from 4 groups to feel good and maintain your health.

Follow these steps to help you eat healthy:

  1. Eat the right types of food by following Canada’s Food Guide. Choose a variety of foods from each of the 4 food groups.
  2. Eat the recommended amount of food for your age, gender, and activity level.
  3. Read food labels to compare and choose healthier foods when shopping. The Nutrition Facts table and the Percent Daily Value can help you make better choices.
  4. Limit foods and drinks that are high in calories, fat, sugar, and sodium.

EARTH HOUR

Please join millions of people around the world on Saturday, March 24th, at 8:30 p.m. and turn off your lights for one hour in support of action on climate change.

IMPORTANCE OF THIRD TERM

Now that we have begun the third and final term of the year, it’s important for parents to remind their children to keep working diligently.  As the third term is worth approximately half of the total mark for the year, it is a very important term. There are also end of year exams to consider in the final months as well.

Good study habits and getting the proper rest will enable all students to do their best on the final exams.

TIME CHANGE

Daylight Savings Time starts on Sunday, March 11th at 2:00 a.m.  So please remember to turn your clocks ahead one hour.
