Greater Gatineau School is very lucky to have Artist Marc Walter work with our school once again. Marc is an award winning, local environmental artist from Wakefield, Quebec. Last year he helped us build a wonderful, willow branch structure in our yard. This year he has been working with our students as an Artist in Residence, through a Ministry Culture Grant. Marc has worked here for 7 weeks with all classes, to plan, design, paint, and soon install an outdoor classroom space at the front of the school. This colourful and creative space will be constructed of wooden beams and planks. Our students and staff are looking forward to working on the last phase of construction in May! It will be a welcome spot to work out -of -doors.
