MONEY MUSEUM

Grade 6 classes will be going the Money Museum on Tuesday, November 5th. Thanks to a grant they will have a tour of the museum and a special activity.

WAR MUSEUM

Grade 4 classes will be going to the War Museum on Tuesday, November 5th. This is an all expenses paid trip including the bus to and from, a guided tour and time to explore the museum.

REMEMBRANCE DAY

On Monday, November 11th at 10:30 a.m., we will be having our Remembrance Day Ceremony.  We are inviting all parents to attend.  We would be pleased to have any parents who are/were part of the military, police force or fire department to attend our ceremony in uniform.  All members of the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides are encouraged to wear their uniform as well.  We are asking all staff and students to wear red or white.

ENGLISH BAY COOKIE DOUGH FUNDRAISER

Our Cookie Dough Fundraiser orders will arrive on Tuesday, November 26th, 2019. Parents must pick up their orders between 2:45 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. We do not have any freezer room so all orders must be picked up.

PARENT-TEACHER INTERVIEWS

It is important that all parents visit your child’s teacher to discuss the progress that he or she has made during the first term.  Your attendance at this interview is vital to your child’s success so please take time to sign up.  Interviews will be held on Thursday, November 21st from 3:00 to 8:00pm and Friday November 22nd from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

H&S BOOK FAIR

Annual Book Fair will be held during parent teacher interviews on Thursday November 21st and Friday November 22nd just in time for the holidays! Be sure to stop by and see our great selection of scholastic books.

OUTDOOR EDUCATION: ORIENTEERING

In November we are very lucky to have Mr. Alan Earwaker (Outdoor Education Consultant) joining our Grade 4 students in exploring how compasses work and how we can use them for orienteering.

The orienteering activities will be held on the following dates:

  • DV on 26th – 28th
  • Cusin on 26th
  • Plue on 27th
  • McClelland on 28th

Students should be dressed appropriately for outdoor weather on their “Orienteering Day.”
