November Events at School

Date: October 30, 2018 Author: Jennifer Plaxton Categories: Upcoming Events

On Wednesday, November 7th at 10:30 a.m., we will be having our Remembrance Day Ceremony.  We are inviting all parents to attend.  We would be pleased to have any parents who are/were part of the military, police force or fire department to attend our ceremony in uniform.  All members of the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides are encouraged to wear their uniform as well.  We are asking all staff and students to wear red or white.

For students who do not participate for religious reasons a room will be available for other activities.

Our Cookie Dough Fundraiser orders will arrive on Wednesday, November 14th, 2018. Parents must pick up their orders between 2:45 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. We do not have any freezer room so all orders must be picked up.

It is important that all parents visit your child’s teacher to discuss the progress that he or she has made during the first term.  Your attendance at this interview is vital to your child’s success so please take time to sign up.  Interviews will be held on Thursday, November 22nd from 3:00 to 8:00pm and Friday November 23rd from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

Annual Book Fair will be held during parent teacher interviews on Thursday November 22nd and Friday November 23rd just in time for the holidays! Be sure to stop by and see our great selection of scholastic books.

We are very lucky to have Mr. Alan Earwaker (Outdoor Education Consultant) joining our Grade 4 students in exploring how compasses work and how we can use them for orienteering.

The orienteering activities will be held on the following dates:  Mrs. Plue’s class November 27th, Ms. Cusin’s class November 28th, Mr. Dooling’s class November 29th.  Students should be dressed appropriately for outdoor weather on their “Orienteering Day.”
