Cerebral Palsy Day is a social movement and a day to celebrate and affirm the lives of the 17 million people living with cerebral palsy. Wear green on October 6th to show your support and to raise awareness.

We ask for you to wear green to school on October 7th to your show support.

This year we will be having a cookie dough fundraiser because the school is now paying for all field trips and busing. Forms will come home on Friday, October 11th and are due back on Monday October 21st.

Your child is encouraged to sell to family and friends. Please do your best to sell as much as you can and make this our most successful fundraiser yet.

We have a number of activities planned during recess and lunch for the students.

During morning and afternoon recess we have “Power Play”, where students are able to play supervised games in the gym.

We also have an “Indoor Choice” room during both recesses and lunch.

At lunch there are a few options open.

We have a “Quiet Choice” room where children can complete unfinished work, read or do another quiet activity.

There is the “Indoor Choice” room which is open at lunch.

Outside we have Darryll with a structured and supervised activity and our “PALS” program where grade 5 and 6 students lead activities for our kindergarten, grade 1 and 2 students.

Our Playground Activity Leaders in Schools (PALS) students participated in a training session where they learned some new games to share with the children.
