Please note that we only accept cash, interact, Visa/Mastercard. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHEQUES.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Please note the list of supplies needed for 2019 – 2020 school year is also being mailed home with your child’s report card the week of June 25th.

It is always a good idea to post it on your fridge and watch for the specials throughout the summer.

Indoor shoes are a must so keep your eyes open for summer bargains.

READING OVER THE SUMMER

Research has shown that the average student will lose some of their reading skills over the summer months. It is important that you encourage your child to continue to read while on summer holidays.

REMIND APP UPDATES

Please don’t forget to sign up for the school “Remind” app (class code = ggsr) and the daycare “Remind” app (class code = ggdaycare).  It is a great way to keep on top of important announcements.

All you have to do is download the free app or check out our website and follow the details on how to sign up for important school updates from Mrs. Link and  daycare updates from Jennifer Plaxton.

TRAVEL GAMES

When driving with your children this summer, here are a few suggestions of games to play;

1) Road Trip Scavenger Hunt

Print out free online hunt sheets and look for the objects while on your trip.

2) Bumper Stumpers

Try to make words from the licence plate in front of you.

3) Alphabet Game

Look for signs that have words that start with each letter of the alphabet in order from A to Z

4) Alphabet start to finish

Pick a topic, like animals. Each person takes a turn to say the name of an animal, the next person has to say an animal that starts with the last letter of the animal before. (AlligatorRabbitTurtleEagle – etc.) The round ends when someone gets stumped and can’t think of an animal. Pick a new topic and start again.
